I have a killi who looks like she has a few tiny scales missing (like a baldness) can't really see anything white there but another killi has a tiny white something right on the end of her mouth and now i see Houdini, my moonlight gourami, showing the same white tiny "thing" in the same place. Makes me want to just put my hand in and just tug it off it looks so annoying!!!

Any guesses??

xx

Could be fungal investion ( or something worse! ) :oh: treat the tank with a fungal treatment and see what happens...

First want to make sure it dosn't look like a parasite.
Mouth fungus will look bleached out, or fluffy looking.
For columnaris in the uk have to turn temp down by two degrees, then go in with myxazin and pimafix.
Increase aeration in the tank.

I don't really want to treat it before i know what it is, they've been through enough already bless em. I'm actually relieved and proud that none have died (yet) as they did go through it when the electric went off for two days. Since then i've done everything possible for them.

It may be that wilder, sounds like it. I mean the white stuff is miniscule but i can see it. I've been keeping my eye out for ANYTHING as i know they probably went through a lot of stress the other week.
