I noticed this fish hanging around the surface, flicking vioentely and bending over to one side where the sore patches are, I was told it looks like Fungus.
The tank had an ammomia spike (0.25) due to the filter flow being obstructed but now is fine and this fish is in a Q. Tank.
No other fish seem to be affected and the fish`s finnage is perfect.

This was a pic 1 weeks ago.

I treated with Melafix and Pimafix for several days and also Myaxzin (fungus treatment)
All seemed to be getting better but the fish is still flick-ing (a lot) and the sores/patches are still there, there are threads hanging from the fish but i`m unsure to whether it`s damaged tissue or a parasite.

Some new pics as of now. (don`t really show the threads hanging)

Any advise or suggestion is appreciated ?

It almost looks like some extra mucus is being produced there. Are his sores open? I really don't see any sores on him. Also are his eyes cloudy at all? Would you say the white strings looked like worms or just a slime coat shedding?

The sores are not open, No his eyes are perfect.
Difficult to tell whether it`s worms , I think it`s more likely torn scales/slime coat, will look later, I`m not sure what to look for TBH.

Thanks for the reply.

looks nothing like a parasite tbh, the loose bits look like fibrous tissue damage from the flicking (I think)

Thanks I could continue with Myaxzin and Pimafix then do you think. ?

What is Myaxzin? Like what does it treat? I am not familar with that I don't think, unless it's related to the USA's Maracyn products made by Mardel.

Columnaris can turn into sores, need to back the myxazin up with pimafix.
Good luck.

I've got mouth fungus and turned temp down as columnaris thrives in warmer temps.
Good luck.
