I have noticed on one of my bronze corys that they have a cotton wool/fungal marking on his body. One of my neons also has it on its nose/mouse.

I have never had to treat this before so could do with some advice on a suitable treatment from the numerous products on the market.

Basically I don't want to damage my filter bacteria casuing ammonia/nitite peaks and also don't want to harm my corys. I belive meth blue could be unsuitable.

NB I live in the north of the UK.

Could be columnaris which is much more common than fungus but often shows similar symptoms, you will need a med that does both bacterial and fungal infections if this is columnaris. You should check out these links for further info and pics to see if you can rule out this being columnaris or not (first link in particular is very helpful for fish deseases in general as well);

Pimafix treats both fungal, internal and external bacterial infections and does not effect filter bacteria :thumbs: .

Great - thanks for the info. It is getting worse but upon closer inspection almost looks flaky rather that cotton wool effect.
