Fungal Infection

hi, currently my tank is undergoing treatment for a fungal infection my male dwarf gourami has, for the past 5 days i have had multi cure in the tank and it said after 3 days put some more multi cure in, now the infection is still there and i was wondering if i just keep repeating the process until the infection is gone, or is there a limit to how long the process should go for, the infection looks really bad and don't want him to die.

you may have misdiagnosed the fungus. columnaris can look similar and needs an antibacterial med. could you post a pic of the fungus?

Can you describe in more detail what you see.
It could be columnaris and you need a bacterial med.
