Hey all, I have a tank with 21 platy fry in there they are only about a week old, the tank in bare bottom with some rocks so they can hide under. The tank has gotten a little dirty with them pooping all over it. I need to do a full clean out, what can I put the fry in while I am doing that?
Thanks

have you not got a spare tank or large container you could put them in ?? i used to put mine in the fry trap while i cleaned round them, then just released them again althou i've only ever had about 14 livebearer fry at the most

when i had my guppy fry i put them in a jug :D
any container will do for about 10 mins

yeah I have a container I will use. What other things can I do to make them grow faster and get bigger, right now the only thing I am feeding is hikari first bites.

It all depends on the fish and the health of the takn and stuff at what rate they will grow. I think there is a pinned on careing for fry.

I am pretty sure the fish are healthy, because this is the first time after at least one week that all the fry are still alive. Oh that reaminds me of a question I have had for awhile. Are platy fry generally stronger than molly fry? Because I have bred mollies about 4 times and everytime most the fry die really quick. Does strengh or immunity have anything to do with it?

Iv had no experience with molly and this is my first platty fry but I asked adams uncle who breeds molly and platy and he says that molly fry never survive as much as his platy
