Fugly

nice pics i really like the koi, it seems alot of people are keeping Koi with cichlids now. On another note up agrade the filters you tank is one of the most overstocked tanks ive seen lol

Beautiful common you have and dont be dispointed because its a common! Just because they dont give them they're specific name doesnt make them any less of value. :p I own two, both are very different in their colours(one is black, the other a orangy brown like yours. Here's the stomach of my black 11 inch common for reference to patterns/markings of yours:

That's what i tell her but noooo! She doesn't think she needs to. And today she put guppies in with a male betta! She doesn't listen to her so i just gave up, i watch Fugly and as soon as i get a 55 without goldies he's comming right back into my tanks.

Dont you just hate it when people dont listen!!! lol dont worry about it give it a couple of months and keep an eye on those jacks because they might turn on the oscar and other fish.

I have seen goldies kept with plecos before, it really depends what sort you have as some can manage up to around the 18deegreesC mark, which many plecos could live fine in....

However, I deffinatly agree on the filter issue, however the algae growth in the tank is mainly down to the blue light. These produce massivly accelerated algae growth because of the light spectrum. I would reccomend that she changes it to a daylight or broad spectrum bulb.

Ben :)
