can i put white spot treatment in my fish tank with 2 day old fry in there ? Will it harm them ? Please help :)
Thanks Regards Carla xxxx

What kind of fry do you have? Anything else in the tank?

im pretty sure ive read fry+ meds dont go to well together. i could be wrong+ im also pretty sure whitspot meds wipe out your biological filtration, the bottle should tell you this. always good to have a small 1/4 foot tank with a hang on filter for times like this. to keep either the fry or sick fish to be treated in!

Humpy is correct, which is why I asked about what type of fry they are and what else is in the tank. Depending on the answers to these questions, you might be able to get away with just treating with aquarium salt. I've found it to be THE best remedy in most cases. Do you have live plants?

Yes you can treat your fish tank with a whitespot medication while fry are in the tank, there is no problem at all with it.

When you have fry in the tank you can only use half dose, not the full dose.

Is that definitly correct hun?

I emailed interpet about this long time ago and they told me that no half dosage was needed as the med was fine to use with fry at full dosage.

They told me the dosage only needed to he halved with scaleless fish.

Got to be becareful with fry as they are only young and can't always handle the full dose.
