can 3 week old fry have dropsy? i noticed some of mines are sitting at the bottum looking really fat, and a few have died like this. is this possible? if so how to treat?

they were getting bloodworm crushed into fine dust. now they are on fine dusted normal flake food.

Feeding to many bloodworms to fish can make the fish bloat up.
Stop feeding the bloodworms for a week.
Cook some frozen peas for a few minutes, let cool down, pop out of shell, mush between fingers into small peices and add to the tank.
I would buy some baby brime strimp for the fry.

Hi Wilder, I agree with your diagnosis mate. :good: I tried the pea thing with my plec, and it worked wonders.

I would cut the bloodworms up for the fry and only feed them once a week.
Yes peas are good as it's a laxative for fish.
I feed peas twice a week keeps them going to the toilet.
Also daphnia is good as it helps digests the fish fiood.

Good luck.
