Well thanks to all your good advice I went out and bought another female guppy today, I know have a female guppy for each male the tank.
& the frys hopefully some of which are female, are doing really well. I bought another tank, a small 5gal this time to keep the fry in until they're old enough to join the others.

Also, as i was doing a water change in my large tank, i noticed another baby fry hiding in the actual filter, I have a jewel aquarium so the filter is built in, when i lifted the lid the poor little thing was swimming around inside amongst all the dirt.
He seems to be okay and is slightly larger than the other two frys although im not sure why?! lol

Anyway thanks for the advice everyone

Great. So you now have at least 2 females per male? :)

The fry tank sounds great, too. I posted a lot in this thread about fry tanks, so you might want to read it: http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=110512

The fry might just be born bigger. Sometimes it happens. Other then that, do you have any other Livebearers in the tank?

Nope the guppys are the only livebearers i have at the moment and im pretty happy to keep it that way, as they breed so quickly! I dont think i'd be able to keep up lol.
Maybe in the future though

It might have just been born bigger, or it could have been born in the last batch and you never noticed. :)

Yep, Guppies do breed pretty fast! Especially when you have fry starting to breed with each other...then it gets to be tons of fry. So it's a good idea to seperate the fry according to sexes as soon as you can. Just remember, some males will look like females for a long time, so check really often.

I usually let my females give birth in my display tank and catch the fry after, the ones who are too fast for my net  and survive in this tank tend to grow much faster than their siblings in my fry tank, I think this is because they can eat constantly by pecking at the plants. Could be that. :dunno: They do tend to grow at different rates anyway though.

Good luck with them.
