Right, finished setting up the fry tank, all but the heater today. I know its not going to win any design awards but can people give me some advice on if its going to be ok for the fry.

Cheers :good:

alongs as its for fry i would say thats perfect. got lots of hiding spaces, lots of plants and plenty of space, i'm sure ur fry will love it.

but the only thing what might be a problem is if thats a filter in the right. i know some people don't use a filter but urs is a big tank im not that sure

Yeah its a sponge filter on the right. It's meant to be good enough for a 100 litre tank and its only an 80 litre.

i don't see much u could improve on. sponge filter, sand (if u had gravel the fry sqiush (spell) though gaps and get stuck or caved in), tones of hiding places so they feel safe . plants also good for hiding.

the only thing i could think of is maybe more plants but then u might get algae

i like it where u get the pots from?

old plant pots or u buy a joblot from some place?

I absolutely love it! I don't see anything you could imrpove on. I've been wanting to do something like that with pots for a while, but haven't gotten around to it, and I love the plants. I definitely need plants in my tanks...

The pots are actually from Pets At Home. If you buy their plants (not the horrible tropica ones they stock - not that tropica plants are horrible but just the ones they stock) they come in these little terracotta pots. They've got what I thought was a very good deal at the moment, 3 plants for a fiver. They're not too bad although I'm not sure I'd buy all my plants for my main tank from there as the choice is normally very limited unless they've just had a delivery in.

That looks fabulous. Way to put my fry tanks to shame. :(

:p

By the way, I merged your two threads for you, and deleted the extra post. :)
