I am new to this, but I have 5 gallon breeding tank I set up to try and save a couple more platy fry than last time around (only 2 of 30 made it). Any ideas for tank mates that won't eat the fry and will work in such a small tank? I was thinking maybe neon tetras? Right now I just have in the tank the 2, 4 week old platy and a female that is about to burst. Thanks

Neon tetras... .. they will eat your fry quicker than you can say Lunch... Its best not to put any fish with fry. Or they will be at risk of being eaten when first born. I have Apple snails in my bare bottom fry tank. They do a great job of cleaning up any left overs. Also when they get to a reasonable size will eat and dead fry plus any snails you have in there too, So I found to my cost. Keep finding empty snail shells :/ .
I feed mine catfish pelets and the odd slice of cucumber. Mine are a bit picky and prefer the pelets  . I guess they like TV dinners too ;)

endlers are small. Just don't ruin the breed by putting them in with guppies I was told they are going extinct in the wild.
