Fry Question!

Hi i'm expecting a fair amount of guppy fry shortly!

I did have another tank to put them in, until my swordtail got pregnant and is due soon!

My question is, could i put the guppy fry into a small plastic tank i have just for a few weeks? It's not got a heater but would be on top of the heated tank so would keep at room temp, also no filter? But i could sort one out for it! Or.... should i just go buy a decent sized tank to keep all my fry in (will eventually be sold to my LFS)

Personally i would setup a cheap 18" tank to put all your fry in, use a undergravel filter (only cheap) and put some plants in as well for them.
