Guys

Some of you may know I am trying to get a Java Moss wall going right now.
(Moss still not through the mesh yet as very early stages :( )

(As noted elsewhere - My fish does have a head, Iphones just cant take photos very well!)

Completely by accident, I think I may have created a great Fry safe area!

My wall is maybe 5mm from the back wall and only covers 10"s or so along the back top corner.

As soon as my Platy fry came out they all swam up to the moss wall and hid behind the mesh and moss.

The other fish have been looking in but cant get behind the mesh, the fry have a good solid mossy protection cover.

My only hope is that the adult fish dont get stuck trying to get to the fry :(

Seems to work though, I think I may adopt this strategy again next time. Create a small mesh moss wall 5mm from the back wall but only in the top corner :) I guess it doesnt have to be a moss wall, just a thin cover a few MM from the back

Some of the greatest inventions have come about by accident. Glad it works so well for them, I bet the fry are also feeding off any food that gets caught in the net and moss as well safely away from all the bigger hungry mouths in the tank.
