As above rearly found 5 dead fry and 3 live in my fluval 205's.
So i would like to make it soo the little things dont get sucked up any more?
Thanks

on one of my smaller tanks I wrapped some fabric mesh or touille, around it and secured with a rubberband. Works great and removes easy for cleaning...should work for any intake. Oh and super cheap in any fabric section/store.

I have a sponge on the intake of my HOB filter. One of my fry likes to sit on top of the sponge. It works pretty well. It reduces the flow rate so the fry don't get pushed around too much.

I have put some foam from a fluval mini into the intake strainer seems to work but how long untill it cloggs up?

Try putting a piece of (old) pantyhose around the intake part and secure with rubberband. Easy and cheap! :D

:good: I guess my mesh idea works for me because I sew and have a whole closet full of assorted fabric :) lol But almost everyone has pantyhose!

A cheap nano canister filter comes with an internal sponge that can be fitted over any intake. It's what I have used in the past and am keeping for future cory baby plans! Shh, though..it's a secret from the hubby! :hey:

Sponge is best, tulle/touille next, tights/panty hose the worst; it really clogs up very quickly.

My French isn't great but isn't foutre a swear word?

Is it exceptionally rude to use the verb "f**tre"? It's English equivalent, "f***"

Might want to edit your post buddy. to current or flow

The sponge's i use have just had there 1st clean. 3days on and was gunked to high heaven.
May need a rethink! Bigger sponge on the outside or just remove it and carry on as normal.

I replied from a "smart" phone that likes to autocorrect me a lot. I guess I didn't poof read it first :/ opps! it's supposed to say flow rate.
