My guppy gave birth unexpectedlly and i've got the fry in a plastic container (quite big) around 10 of them as i didn't have chance to get a breeder net or something. Is this okay? I can't get the tank divider soon so they may have to stay in their for a week or two. Also with the feed hikari first bites i am finding it imposiible to pick out a small amount as it all gets stuck to my fingers any advice?

The fry will be fine in a plastic container do a water change of 30% once or twice a week.
use a Turkey baster to remove uneaten food .

I found if you slightly wet the end of a straw, then dip that into the food, then into the water, you can get just a small amount of food.
I suppose this will work with anything thin ..
Give it a whirl ;)

Or just press on the food with the tip of your finger into it, dont actually pick it up.

I raised platy fry in buckets with no filters, changing all the water every second day. This only works because I don't need heaters, living in tropical Australia.

i have my fry in their own 10gal with filter-heater-airation system. i use a toothpick to feed them :D

Okay but the plastic container is floating in the main tank and i change the water everyday to make sure its at the right temperature and to make it clean. I'll try a tooth pick lol. I'll do some research on this turkey baster as well sounds cool.

i just dip my finger into the food and then brush it off into the tank.
You gont gettoo much that way.
Not thought of using a toothpick

To feed my fry I use the handle of a small plastic spoon as it has a groove along the back pick up the food, tap excess back into the pack and tap the spoon over the trap and it falls off then i stir gently to make the food sink down when they are very young.

happy to send you a couple of spoons if you want! :hey:
