Fry Habits

Intriguingly, ive notice my platy fry(who have recently been moved from the breeder net into their tank) seem to like the surface. Is this due to the light source(standard house lighting atm, being upgraded)pr otherwise? They arent gasping and seem happy enough, rather seem to be enjoying the warmest area of the water(the top). Anyone else notice this? As to feeding with BBS anyone have suggestions on how to effectively spread the use of the frozen cubes of BBS?

When I was doing platys it was a survival of the fittist with lots of plants & other hiding places. Try some floating plants, this is a good use for cheap plastic ones.

If you need to use less than 1 cube, cut it with a sharp knife. I buy frozen food in bulk, 1 pound frozen blocks & have a cutting board & knife dedicated for this use. My family is a little squeamish about my sharing fish food with them.
