I just got some plants that i had ordered in the mail...
Unfort, its 11 degrees out, and they are frozen! :(

Wonder if thay will survive.....

Please keep us updated. A lot of people don't order plants during the winter in fear that they don't survive. However, there have been cases where people didn't think about it, ordered it, and it still grew after being put inside their tank.

I'm getting java moss soon in the mail, and it also might be frozen. During the night, it is less than 20 degrees, and during the day around 35. So I don't know if it will survive, will also keep you guys updated.

Iceburg lettuce... heh
Ive decided to toss the Riccia.... Not cause it wasnt doing good... But it was more labor then i wanted.... ;)

So my whole bottom will now be covered by Sagittaria Platyphylla.
Part of the new order was 20 of em...
I also got another Java Fern....

I planted everything, so we'll see if they make it or not B)

That's exactly why I got rid of mine. I tried glosso and elatine triandra, decided I liked the latter more and I'm using it in my entire foreground. Just waiting for it to grow out!

The java moss arrived this afternoon, and I've planted it into my tank. It felt cold to the touch, but it still looked healthy. Don't know if it died already, or if it's still alive, but I hope it will grow inside the tank. How do stores get their plants if they are frozen on arrival, do they use heat packs to keep the plants warm?

lazy sods. LOL.

so do i have some sympathy from across the water. dare i say i'm getting rather fed up of mine now as well. i cant bring my self to chuck it just yet though

I admire your perseverance. I put up with it for a short amount of time compared to you! Not only was the maintenance a pain, but the little bits constantly floating on the surface bugged the hell out of me.

E. Triandra is the way forward lol (I'll turn you yet ;) )

We're gonna split the order cost, and they are gonna reship the order for me... B)
