Hello guys,
My tank good enough to frontosa breeding tank? (couple)
Length: 80 cm
Small Width: 35 cm
Long width: 18 cm
Height: 32 cm
panoramic one.

Sounds a little on the small side to me mate. Frontosas can get up to like 16"

not big enough I'm afraid.....as above, they are big fish when adult.

Most people say 6 foot is the minimum for fronts with an 8 footer being ideal.

Frontosa do better in colonies and also look stunning with a black background and a lightly colored sand substrate. Anyone keeping fronts atm? I used to keep some F1 zaire blue kapampa. Some of the nicest fish iv'e ever kept by a long shot.

I'd have to agree with the people above me... too small.

MAYBE you can stick two in there with a good external filter, but even then it's pushing it.
Besides frontosa do better in group.

I have a 450l aquarium with 8 growing up frontosa in there and need a biggie external filter to cope with them..

From research ,I am learning and post , sometimes to be corrected, or validated.

Frontosa grow very large which means that, although they are not very active swimmers, they are going to need a big tank to house them!

4 fronts,(yes i know she asked about 2 /pair but they do better in gorups) so say in theory, 150cm (5 feet) long tank with a minimum volume of 500 liters ( about 125 gal. if Im correct) with 750 liters beeing even better!..

SO yes too small

awesome fish though
