Frontosa

My lfs has two frontosa for sale one about 11 inches and the other about 9 inches. What would be a good price to pay for these? The shop has them priced at 30 pounds for the 7inch one and 50 pounds for the 9/10 inch one. I really have no idea if these prices are good or not. They are however in very good condition and ive never seen ones that big in a shop before but i really dont want to get riped off. I have them both revsered until 5 oclock today.

well in my LFS they are £15 and they are about 4-5", they have had them in since they were babies and havent actually sold any so i have watched them grow. they probbaly would put up the price if they would sell.

it seems that not many people have a tank large enough for them.

how big is your tank?

if its your 260ltr then i wouldnt s these fish can grow to 35cm.

what else is in the tank?

Thanks for your reply. I managed to get the lfs to do the pair for 60 quid. Looking around on google at adverts for people selling them i think i got quite a good deal My tank is 260L with 2 quite large banded leporinus, 2 convict ciclids and 6 clown loach. Ive put the 2 frontosas in and it doesnt look over crowded.
