Well went down to my lfs today and i saw these gorgeous lill frontosas sat there and i fell in love with 'em. I've come away and read up on them and i have encountered the following points i need to answe:

A) my material syas that 72inch is the minimum for three adults, 1m 2f, so would i be able to keep one in a 30 inch long 18 wide tank?
B) This tank that is available houses seven hybrid alunacaras, to yellow heads and a clown peckolita, is there space?
C) Is the frontosa cross compatible with these lake malawi fish?
D) I've read they don't like to dig, but have seen one large specimen in the lfs with all the gravel shoved to one side, is this just a one off?
Well thanx in advance guys

Frontosas get very large and shouldn't be housed in anything smaller than 90g. Most frontosa tanks are in the 200 gallon range. They are completely incompatible with malawi mbuna and should generally be kept in a species tank.

i agree with modern hamlet. they are a open water fish and requre lots of swimming area. much different requirements than mbuna also.

I've seen frontosa on mbuna tank, but it's normally a huge tank like 100 gallon and up....

I kept fronts with mbuna in 100+ and IME it seems the mbuna drove the fronts crazy. They're a very calm fish and they don't like hyper active annoying fish. Plus I don't think one front would be happy. They're very interactive with each other.
