I have a 75 gallon freshwater tank with no fish in it. It has been running since late november and i am ready to start putting in some fish. I originally thought i would have a large community tank with german rams, silver dollars, guaramis, and tetras. Then I saw a cichlid tank with a frontosa in it with ceveral other african cichlids. My question is if Frontosa can be put in a tank with new world cichlids like convicts and severums. My tank is currently at 81 degrees Farenheit and PH at 7.2, i am aware i would have to raise the PH to more alkaline levels of high 70's or low 80's (correct me if im wrong). Help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure if frontosa can go with New World Cichlids or not, however, the minimum recommed tank size for them is 125 gallons. :good:

Oh i hadnt herd that, at my lfs they have a 75 gallon display tank with an 8 inch frontosa and several other african cichlids. Thank you for the advice though.

Bear in mind that at 8" that Frontosa is only half grown and the LFS can easily switch things around as the fish grow - they have lots of tanks. 75 gal is possible for a single Front but a 125 is so much better. :good:
