Fish Fanatic
If things go ok, Tomorrow I will finally be getting my new 6ft tank - moving it proving to be a bit of a mission
I will be moving my current stocking (currently running a 3ft) to this new tank (as well as substrate and hardscape), below is my plan to tackle this - if I have missed anything out or it is in the wrong order please let me kmnow
1) new Tank on stand, pipes connected to sump, heater in sump (not switched on), pump in sump (not switched on)
2) new substrate (already washed) trasnfered from buckets into tank, fish taken from old tank and held in buckets
3)start transferring existing water into new tank
4)when empty, tranfere old subtrate into new tank (both the same type of play sand)
5)add new and old rocks, wood and plants
6)top up new tank and apply tap safe to new tank and ensure sump is filled to max level already marked and then turn on pump and heater
7) when water up to correct temperature (will have been aided by boiling water in pans) transfer fish and water from buckets into new tank
8)Enjoy
How does that sound?
