My mums taking me to toys are us in a bit for some sand for the betta tank as it has gravel at the moment and i heard its better with sand.
Do i jut take out all the water put it in a bucket take out betta and everything then add sand put things back in and water, then add betta again?
Thankyou.

You'd have to wash to sand first - rinse in in running water until the water runs clear.

Alright thankyou i will.
Will the sand not just float in the tank water then, and whats better about sand to gravel?

Lol no sand wont float in your tank if it did well the sea would look pretty funny

Some people prefer sand to gravel as they feel it looks better and personally, i find it easier to clean.

Sands ok, I wouldn't bother with it for a betta tank though.

Ive bought it now, and think it will be easier to plant the plants in it and betta would prefer it hopefully, ill take a pic of the new setup

I've done the new sand setup now, it looks better more natural and cool lol!
pics soon.

ah so this is part of your evil plan? well yes one tank now has sand in (I was informed gravel was easier to clean but NO!!!) and now when the time comes the 160 litre definately will get sand. So yes I am a minion forestpieces ;)

The sand or gravel won't matter much for the betta but you will probably find it muc prettier!
