Frogs 'n' Nerites?

I'm sure its a stupid question and that they are uncompatible, but...

Would Nerites be valid as algae eaters in a tank with a clawed frog? He is only little at the moment and its a large tank.

hmm not sure as i dont own clawed but i do own two drawfs which are quite simular in diet etc. and they leave my nerites alone - i cant see frogs challenging that shell - but then i could be wrong
