I have made a nice friends here in Oxford where we moved in April. I finally have someone just as interested in fish keeping and breeding and all that wonderful stuff that I had to come to the internet to get before. :)

Recently she needed me to drive to Tupelo (45 mi) to pick up her recently repaired sewing machine. I was going to Tupelo anyway, so I went ahead, no big deal. :p I didn't expect any payment, that's what friends do.

Yesterday I was admiring her baby angels, just about size to post to ebay and sell. I said I wanted some and how much did she want. Guess what! You probably guessed it right...she said I could scoop out what I wanted as a thank you for picking up her machine. (pics soon) Whoopie! :hyper:

I moved some fish around and put the 9 new pea and dime-sized babies right here on my desk. :fun: There are 3 golds, 3 marbles, 2 silvers and a black.

Unfortunately, I doubt the black is going to survive. :( He didn't do well over night without a heater (thank you, Katrina  ) The others are doing fine and exploring their new home.

 Having fish breeders for friends certainly does have some fringe benefits! (but I would be friends anyway, of course)

Nice one!!!
Next time her sewing machine is broken just give me a shout ;)

I have them in a 10g for right now. I know they will need to move later, but for now they are small enough to get by. Everything in there except the fish is covered with "new water" bubbles. Sorry about the white speckles in the pics.

Here are some pictures
After being released from acclimation container, they huddled in a group for about 30 minutes.

The big gold is easy to see. If you know where to look there are at least 2, maybe 3 others, mostly marbles that you can see.

This is one of the silvers. It is the smallest of the group.

Here is one of the pretty marbles hanging out around one of the plastic valisneria.

Such a cute little face.

Wow, the Angel in the 3rd pic is so tiny it makes the 10 gallon like a 100gallon! :D
