Hi I have a friend who has decided to get fish, her tank was not fully cycled, there are cory’s and guppies in the tank and this is her readings,

I don’t use teststrips so am a little confused but I think she has high nitrites, can someone please advise what she should do?

Ok so her other friend works in aquatics and has told her to stop worrying! She was thinking of adding neon tetras today.... which I have talked her out of, what the sausage is wrong with fish shop staff?

It's hard to tell from a photo since colours can look off, but it looks like nitrites are at zero, and nitrates between 25-50? So needs a water change, but not alarming.

Urge your friends to get a master test kit though, or at least another kit that will read ammonia.
