Im not a newbie but since my fish died ive lost the habit. but im getting back into it. i just forgot how much bacteria colony to add to the tank

Only way you can add bacteria colony to the tank, is through having more tanks or a friend in the fishkeeping hobby, you will need gravel from a friends and a mature sponge from his filter to place in yours.
