Little stupid quick question;
My lfs recently stocked some freezedried krill and i was wondering if its ok to feed them to normal freshwater fish and how often?

I've feed them one crushed krill in my main tank so far, they are acting perfectly normaly and healthily but i was just wondering how often i should feed them it?
The main tank just has an asortment of livebearers, corys and khuli loachs and one plec, my other tank has some guppys, albino corys and plec and my fry tank has livebearer and danio fry and 3 panda corys and small baby plec.
I feed my adult fish catfish pelets, algae wafers and fish flakes every day and they also get either freexdried tubifex, daphinia or bloodworms once every 4days.
The fry get TetraMinfry and liquifry no.2 and once a week crushed freezdried tubifex, bloodworms or daphinia and the panda corys get catfish pelets and baby plec gets algae wafers. I've also just started feeding my plecs blanched de-skinned slightly mushed cucumber.

i wouldn't feed it more than once a week to the guppies
i wouldn't feed it to the fry, they are probably too small to eat them anyway

they'll be fine eating it, but livebearers need more veggies than meat in their diets. I guess you could feed it twice a week but then it depends what else you're feeding them.

I'll probably just exchange the tubifex/daphinia/bloodworms weekly for the krill so they'll be getting it twice every 8days every now and then; the livebearers get plenty of veggies cos they eat the algae wafers, catfish pelets and cucumber as mentioned.
Cheers for the info :) :thumbs:
