free fish!

xD well, i returned from my weekly volunteer work at my LPS with a Calico Fantail Goldie and a Red Betta Grrl in hand. i paid nothing! i was only going to get the Goldie, then Francesca said i could take a few fish- for free! so long as stock isn't severely dented i can apparently take anything i need home

these are Uber-Nice people, so i'm not going to go in and leave with everything but the last can of fishie-food, but i'm hoping to add a bit to my 50 (yes, it is now my 50. my dad gave up taking care of it, and will no longer spend money on it) so, next week the following fishies add to the din!

1 Female Dalmation Platy
1 Male Blue Moon Platy
6 Male Guppies
4 Neon Tetras
1 Black Kuhlii

amazingly, these are the misfits of the tanks. the Neons are alone, the Loach is alone, the Guppies are insanely overcrowded, and the Platties would remain unnoticed (soooo many Dalmations and Blue Moons!) =) wish me luck introducing these guys- my boy Firefly doesn't much like other male Platties, but the tank is HUGE and looks SO empty!

i would not recomend the black kuhli loach is left alone you should buy at least three or more they r not expensive i got my 3 for 5 dollars canadian at my lfs.
if they r kept alone the will hide all the time and the bigger the pack the more active they will be my 3 swim aroud the tank all day scavrnging for food and they have grown from 1.5cms to nearly 7cm in 3 or 4 weeks but i feed them alot.

That is so cool..maybe I ought to volenteer at my LFS. The lady that owns it works alone so I bet she could use the help...and I could use the hook up.

TDins, i've already got a Black Kuhlii pair in with my other four Kuhliis, and i'm sure they'd adore another solid compadre to cause trouble with ^^

i'm beginning to love the fact my school forces 40 hours of community service out of everyone, otherwise i'd never have the fun i do taking care of the Fuzzies and getting free Fishies!
