hi

firstly i can't think of anything that would of eaten him, but i am guessing he is of a reasonable size. First, spend a while just looking at the tank,up,down , behind plants, under stones, on the surface, if you can't see him try lifting up any decor with gaps or holes in like a mini boat or something. If not there move your hand round and shake the plants etc, oh and check the filter areas. if you still can;t find him sorry to say this but look for any sort of skeleton or skin or something. Oh and check he hasn't jumped out of the tank!!

Hope you find him safe and well!

Keep us informed!

My African Dwarf frogs sometimes hide right behind the filter (how they squeeze in that gap I don't know) or they manage to get right underneath tank decorations. Another place I found one was on top of the thermometer suction cap.

But, yes, they can sometimes jump out if you don't have a lid or lid was left open for a while during feeding/tank maintenance etc (not that mine have but I've heard of others saying it's happened to theirs).

Let us know if you find Fred!
