I am planning on do a 90 Gallon live rock tank that will house a flame angel ultimately. Filter will be wet/dry with protein skimmer. Current will be supplied by power heads. :)

I want a flame angel....I have since I was 20. I am 37 and have the means to do this now. I have lots of experience with salt so I am not a newbie...my problem is I am having a hard time deciding what I want. So this is where you guys come in. By the way , I have 6 tanks already and care for about 30 others.....I have experience with a lot of fish. I can't decide...help!

What other fish do you suggest that will give the max diversity of color. REMEMBER: The flame angel is the focus and purpose of this tank!

I would like to be able to have a clean up crew in the tank as well as some shrimp varieties. No so much coral but perhaps some mushrooms (not necessary) but several feather duster worms would be nice.

Suggestions?

Thanks!

Flame angels are highly compatible with most other commonly sold community fish (with the possible exception of certain other dwarf angels). I would make a list, but really anything you want to add should be OK here.

I just added a Flame Angel to my 50 gallon reef tank. It's such a beautiful fish, I got an amazing specimen. I have observed that it looks great contrasting with the blue painted background of my tank. I have a Sixline Wrasse too and they do look nice together.

On a completely unrelated note, for some reason whenever I want to type "Wrasse" I end up typing "Wrasses" and I don't know why.

I know why  :shifty: :yahoo:

Tom, I agree with Lynden, flame angels are highly compatible with almoast any other common saltwater species. Obviously I wouldn't put them in with large predators, but they can hold their own with pretty much any other fish suitable for a 90g. I'd suggest smaller Tangs, Anthias, and Wrasses :)

Currently:

The 90 gallon is a new tank for me.

I take care of a 265 as well.

It has:
Six line Wrasse
Singapore Tang
P. Clowns (4)
Threadfin Butterfly
Flame Angel

Lots of live rock....

Any suggestions for fish additions are welcome. My supply is difficult at times.
