and put them down the toilet ?

ha ha, only joking.

Shall i catch them and put them in my breeding trap holder, its one of them plastic things that goes in the tank?

My tank is quite heavly planted so i was thinking they would be alright just on their own ?

What kind of babies are they? Some egg layer fry can be too small and fragile to make it in a breeding net...

Dont know what fish they are from, may be a guppy.

i think ill just let them rome free, they look alright.

:)

I had the same dilemma with my mollies...

My first set I left and all got eaten :-(
My second I siphoned out into a fry tank after some got eaten (saved 5 fry) - all survived the process and currently an inch long.
The third and fourth I left in and so far been fine (15&8 fry respectively ~ 1 week old now)
My tank is heavily planted in one corner, and very big for number of fish it in, which I guess helps.

If you want to leave them, leave them. If they do seem to be getting eaten then you can always net the survivors later - or net the next set & there will be a next set - trust me! Livebearer fry need a little erm, 'natural selection', or you soon have more fry than you can possibly cope with anyway!

aj xx
p.s canarsie - is there any need to be so harsh? Of course he/she cares! Otherwise they wouldn't even bother asking!

I recently found platty fry in my tank and was thinking of getting a breeding net for them but i spoke to my LFS and he said he just leaves his for natural selection. so i kind of did that.

I caught them and moved them into my crab tank which are less active than the munching parents!!!

although when doing a water change today i saw another 3 in the main tank, i caught and moved 1 of them in with the other 4.

where abouts are you in Essex?

My beautiful silver mollies all got eaten except for one of them. My black molly gave birth in the net and all survived. I gave them to my local pets at home.

thanks guys, i think there is 7 so ill keep an eye and if they start to go missing ill net the remains for a week.

From near southend, you, i see its says kirby, wheres that ?
