found my pleco on the floor

I just found one of my darling little plecos on the floor! I’ve heard of these guys being jumpers but I really don’t have a lot of uncovered area on the top of the tank. He was totally dried up. I had two of them and recently I put one in another tank to clean up some algae problems. I wonder if he or she got freaked out being on his own?

That's awful I had one die on sunday through jumping out of the tank so I no how you feel, can you post test results to make sure it isn't water quality first, in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph.

well I just tested my water and parameters are fine.

ammonia 0
nitrite 0
nitrate 10ppm
ph 7

A heater did crack in the tank less then a week ago but i pulled it out immediately and checked for glass shards. (my fault..i forgot to turn it off during a water change)

The other fishes in the tank are fine. Maybe when he was going up for air he just went to hard. Still though it was such a small space to get through.

do you have any idea why yours jumped?

my mate found his danio on top of his splash gard. he died because he didnt find the water agen.
