I was so excited last night! Was sitting watching the aquariums and suddenly spotted a wee guppy fry in amongst the tall grass - well, I was over the moon because last week when my female guppy gave birth to about 10 fry, they all disappeared within 2 days and despite constant checking I couldn't see any fry had survived and I felt really sad and was annoyed with myself for not having been prepared with a fry net.
So to see one that has made it and looking twice its original size is great. Looks like its going to take after its mumzi who is a huge guppy, well the largest I've ever had - over 2 inches long. She still looks pregnant to me so there might be another birth of fry soon.
Nice when you look in the tank and find a little surprise isn't it?
