Found A Leak Help

Hi i have a fish r fun 2100 tank that i brought second hand and iv just noticed water between the bottom piece of glass and the fitted plastic trim it sits on. I filed it up about 6 inches and its not leaking but now that its empty if i push the glass bottom down water comes through a 2mm slit in the sillicone back into the tank.
If i can get some 100% sillicone can i just smear it over the slit i really dont want to remove any sillicane if i can help it

You could try just beading over the leaking seam, but it would likely just start leaking again when you re-fill. To do it properly, you really do need to cut all the old silicone out and replace it with new stuff

The silicone you use needs to be fish-safe, i.e. for aquarium use
