It's one where you just drop a tablet in a box with a little water and it releases CO" and it goes through a diffuser?

anyone had luck with these?

I've never used this method personally or heard of how effective it is.

I would guess that the quantity of CO2 produced would be fairly low so it would be suitable for smaller tanks. It may also be fairly expensive to maintain with you having to buy new tablets regularly.

I'd rather spend the money on a Nutrafin unit and use my own yeast, much cheaper long term.

Or why not take the DIY route, much cheaper still?

edit - I've just remembered - you're the guy I gave DIY instructions to? No luck then? http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=119222&hl=

nope :( my mum didnt like the idea of me having bottles of yeats and CO2 in my room with 5 cats and 2 dogs around :/

Ha Ha,

My parents came home one day to find yeast, sugar and water splattered all over the living room. Once I get an idea into my head there is no stopping me. :/
