Hey guys,

I found a 25 gallon just sitting besides a dumpster! It had collected a lot of rain water, in which all the equipment was sitting in so I didn't think I would be able to salvage any of it (all but the filter which was too small for the tank.) Tank measurements are 24X12X20 (LWH.) I would probably leave it bare bottom with nothing in it, but do you think I could put a pair of Altums in? A 20 inch height should suffice, correct?

yeah you can. where did you get the pair of Altums? it'd be nice if they paired up

Don't have them yet... I might not even get them until I get back from summer vacation (got my Dad looking after the tanks, I doubt he can handle two, let alone three.)

I would probably get them off the internet.

True altums grow very tall, and are a much larger fish in general than scalares. Ideally you want a 24" depth minimum.

Yes, I hear they grow to be 15 inches in height. We will have to wait and see. I know I am going to get a 125-150 gallon sometime in the next year or two, but I am not sure exactly when...
