doh!

realised last night i must have forgotten to put it away, been out for a good few days now, any point putting it back in the fridge and carrying on using it? or shall i just sling it now?

if i do sling it can i just use some AE trace mix as a replacement or do I need to add any other elements?

*cough*

I've never put mine in the fridge......doesn't mean I shouldn't have but I don't know how much of an issue this could be.

it says it should be in one, so i assumed it's best to keep it in there! likewise i don't know how important it is.

Only thing I can relate it to is something I read on the pinned EI thread which mentions putting something in the water if you mix your own liquid fertiliser: it stops the chelated ingredients from becoming unchelated...or something like that.

My plants certainly grow OK and I haven't put mine in the fridge over the 3-4 months I've had it for....

Your Flourish will be fine. Seachem do advise to store it in a fridge once opened.

If you make your own chelated trace mix solution then to prevent the chelator from breaking down too quickly you need to make the solution acidic. Easiest way to do this is with hydrochloic acid.

What he said :)

It has been suggested that with trace mixes or the like that you put them in the fridge to stop mould growing around the top where the cap screws.

I decided not to dose the mucky bit round the screw top and to dose the actual liquid. lol

Tropica doesn't say put it in the fridge, unles I missed that bit.

Yours will be fine, its just to stop the scum you get round the lid from fertilising mould growth.
