In the near future, I am looking to purchase a pretty female betta. I have a pretty vt male (i think its vt? one in avvy) and I would like to have a go at breeding but dont want a load of doomed babies because I bread the wrong tail type (thats if i actually have any success!!

so yes, if anyone will have a female betta for sale in the near future, please let me know.

Also, if anyone has any breeding equipment for sale, could you also let me know. All I have is an empty tank to home the female and an empty 20 gallon for growing the babbies out. the filter I have will probably suck up fry so I need a different kind, or maybe I could put some gauze over it?

hmm.

quite nice, look for a similar female :)

haha, i knew id get it wrong.

I wanted to try a pearly coloured female. Not sure what tail type, just not the really common one as I read on hear that theyre hard to pass on and I cant keep the fry.

So...

does anyone have a pearly or similar female betta to my avatar? And any tail type other than vt.

Hi
Nice CT you got there :good:
Without causing any offence, cus none is meant, if you haven't done enough research to establish the difference between a VT and a CT, you should do an awful lot of research before even contemplating breeding
Just some friendly advice that will save you problems in the furure :good:

yea i second that, i spent bout 1/2 hr a day just on the fishey feedings and it takes 2 1/2 hrs 3x a week to do water changes on jars.. lots o work, if you would buy a baby female now say 3 months and waited 3 more till she was 6 and have your reasearch on breeding done, conditioning, breeding, spawing , hatching, fry grow out. also have all ur tanks, <one 20 might not be enough> what happens if you get 200 babies? youd need at least 4 20ies for that or more and they have to be seperated by 8 to 12 weeks or they will just beat on each other. and have all the right food, live cultchers < allready made> and starter food and grow out food. its really not a way to try and make a quick buck unless you breed thousands and sell at a store, but its a hobby many people love, just read up .. alot before you start, that way you can get it right and safe the first time.
