does anyone know if theres a type of fish food that sinks?....I know theres alot of food that sinks(shrimp pellets, catfish wafers, algae wafers, etc.) but Im talknig about like sinking bloodworms, sinking flakes, sinking krill etc. And if there is food like that whats the company name that makes the food?

I find tetra delica food sinks. Its bloodworms, brine shrimp or whatever you choose in 'vitamin enriched jelly'. Thats why its such a pain to feed to my betta- he only eats floating food and I can't get an ADF yet.....

Dorkhedeos has got it, all the usual frozen food sinks..

Hi snar :)

Live bloodworms and tubifex worms sink too. And so does flake food and freeze dried tubifex worms. It's all in knowing how to do it.

I raise cory cats, so just about all the food I put in has to reach the bottom for them to eat it. Here's what I do.

To get flake food to drop right down instead of floating, just take a bit between your fingers and put your hand into the tank. When it is under water, open your fingers and flick the flakes out. They will gently float downward also providing a meal for any fish that likes to catch it as it floats by.

To sink freeze dried tubifex cubes, hold one between your fingers underwater. Gently squeeze it and rub it until it becomes saturated. The individual worms will separate and with a little shaking, will drift downward. If the suction from your filter is very strong, you might have to turn it down for a moment to keep them from being sucked into it or kept in suspension. As soon as they reach the bottom, you can turn it up again. :D
