Food Problems

Hi guys

right i have

mollys
gold barbs
an angel
penguin tetras
3 corys
2 clown loach
and a plec


now the problem i have, i feed the fish with flake all well and good the mollys take it from the top and rest in the middle

but then i feed the bottow dwellers pellets and as they fall the mid feeders are eating it and then when it hits the bottom the mollys attack it and throw it in the air so the angel can get some to

im worried that the bottom dwellers arnt getting enough if any food,

what can you guys suggest ?

ps i put cucumber in the tank each weekend and gets destroyed in an evening by the plec, which make me wonder if he is getting enough throughout the week and only eating cucumber

Put the pellets in the tank at the same time you put the flakes in, then at least some of the pellets should reach the bottom. If things are really bad put the pellets in a cup and tip them out at the bottom of the tank, then sprinkle in the flakes to distract the mollies & the angel.
As for the plec, get some algae wafers you can chuck in just before you turn the lights out during the week.
Also try some bloodworm or other live food to mix up your fishes diet.

i already do the feeding at the same time also tryed the at different times, the cup idea might be good but those fish are good they search for it

i feel for the bottom dwellers as they dont come out to eat when the food is added just when they want

i will be buying some wafers tomorrow to see if that helps

i add live food every other weekend just to keep them interested.
