I got an XLG Comet about 12 hours ago or so and have put it in my 10 Gal Aquarium with shubunkin. When I feed them this morning, I noticed Comet was not eating the GoldFIsh pelletes that I feed my Shubunkin. I was wondering if I am supposed to feed Comet some other food, like Tropical Food or something.
Anxiously waiting for a response.

XLG i assume means extra large goldfish, try feeding flake,bloodworm(F/Dried)or cucumber. As you might be well aware your goldfish is way to big for your 10g tank.

Skins.

Just noticed you have only had him 12hrs, i would not worry to much about feeding him for 24hrs he's still getting used to his new home. Like i said in my first post he's to big for your aquarium.

I agree.
The comet goldfish needs at least a 20 gallon tank, plus 40 gallon filter.

You can feed fish flakes, pellets, frozen foods, veg.
Best to keep to goldfish flakes or pellets. There a difference in tropical and cold water food for fish.

Although it says its XLG, its not that big. It only measures about 2 inches in length.
So should I feed the same GoldFish Flakes that I feed my Shubunkin? The problem is that I tried to feed my Comet a couple of times but Shubunkin eats all the food, while Comet hardly notices it.

And Wilder says: "You can feed fish flakes, pellets, frozen foods, veg." What is that supposed to mean? I can take frozen foods from refrigerator and put it in my water Tank?

And is Comet Tropical or Cold Water Fish?

Comet is a coldwater goldfish.
Frozen food e.g peas will need to be boiled 3-5 mins, taken out of the shell and then cut up into small pieces.
the comet in the appropiate aquarium will grow to some size (14inches/35cm).

You can buy blister packs of frozen foods from an lfs. They have foods like daphnia, bloodworms, brime shrimp, micro worms etc.

Goldfish will also eat veg like broc, green savoy cabbage, sproats, peas, spinach.
Mine were not keen on cucumber, or lettuce.
