Food For Fry

hi
how old are your fry & what sort of size??? i generally use liquifry only for a couple of weeks at most & then watch to make sure they seem to be managing crushed flake ( but by crushed i mean flake thats really crushed to a powder) i also use liquifry no3 fry growth food which is a powder made by the same people. when your fry are a little bigger try putting a blanched romaine lettuce leaf in there on a clip & also blanched peas they love it! i also drop the odd little bit of catfish or algae tablet in too. i have a black mollie fry at the moment whose about 3/4 cm big & it manages powdered flake fine.

Hi millym again :) , my fry range between 1-2-3 weeks old but i think i might get them off the liquifry and just used crushed flakes...thanx again for the info..Cheers! :)

umm egg yoke is good

boil an egg, take out the middle *yellow part* crush it up real good, stir it, add water, pinch some and drop it in, it will create a cloud of yellow and your fish will love it

if you want to feed some to the parents then dont crush it as much
add water and throw it in

:) good luck

Egg yolk is OK, but it pollutes the water very quickly so you'll need to keep up on the water changes.

Flakes are a good staple, try alternating in some small high protein foods (Frozen, Live, Freeze-dried) and some veggies, as millym said.

egg yolk is a very good source of protein and im sure a good filter could clean it up in no time *mine did*

my baby guppy eats freeze-dried bloodworms bigger than itself! and since i gave the bloodworms she hasnt eaten my flake food since :D
