My 55 gallon established tank water is foggy and green. I have completely taken down the tank twice and this has not helped. I also have bacteria supplements to jumpstart my bacteria load. I have 2 power filters with carbon and a undergravel filter. I do Water changes twice a month. I recently added some driftwood. I don't know if that will effect it?! I am not sure the water turned cloudy green before or after I added driftwood. Placed by a window but this has never been a problem before. My nine 3 inch fish are very healthy, and I do not overfeed. Would a canister filter help? PLEASE HELP...I AM PULLING MY HAIR OUT! :grr:

sounds like you have a particulate problem.
this is microscopic particles that normerly the eye
can't see but there are so many they have made the water cloudy.

Interpet no3 (filter aid) or Sera aquariclear will make these particles clump together allowing your filter to trap them.

That same thing happened to my tank and ended up being an algae bloom, I just got some cheapie algae bloom medication and 1 dose fixed it right up. I had over cleaned my tank.
