Foaming Protein Skimmer

I just did a water change and was told to put in aqua safe to take out the chlorine from the tap water. Now the protein skimmer will not stop foaming. I unplugged it for 2 days and did a 20% water change and it's still foaming any suggestions??

I'm assuming since you've got a protein skimmer that you're running salt or brackish water as they're generally useless in fresh. I'd suggest reposting this in the saltwater hardware section of the forums along with your tank stats: size, how long it has been set up, salinity etc.

Pretty sure that the function of a protein skimmer is to create foam to trap dissolved organics, you may also want to describe exactly how it is foaming perhaps with some pictures.
