Foam limiting the flow??

I have an Emp 400 with stock everything. I just bought some AQ filter sponges to put in them, but I have a problem( I think). When I put them in they limit the flow coming out. Is there still 400GPH going through the filter, and the sponges are just slowing down the flow out of the filter? Thanks!

Why did you not just buy the prpper filter foam for emperor 400? I am assuming because of price, cause they are expensive.

I dont think you will have any problem with flow slow down, at least you know your water will be filtered (every drop)
