Hi everyone ,I am new on this forum and looking for some help....my son left the door open and since we live in dairy land the house soon filled up with flies and i would like to spray to get rid of them ....can anyone suggest a safe way to spray with fish tanks in the house...i would appriciate any ideas>>>Thanks in advance

You could either use fly paper traps or there are small electrical units on the market nowdays like the ones used in butchers shops...that just zap those dudes. They are not expensive.

Alternatively catch the flies with an aquarium net or similar and toss them in the tank. Excellent fish food.

i also live next to a farm and those flys are annoying. those things with the blue lights are ace. just leave it in a dark room and you will here the noise of those little buggers being zapped!!! it seems to be that it is not just flys that get zapped you come across beetles, woodlice, daddy long legs (crane flys) and midges the best invention ever!!!!!!

if you use fly spray there is a good chance of harming your tank. Basically anything that kills anything (even pesticides) can kill your fish. Fly strips or bug zappers are you best options.
