Fluval Venezia 190/fluval 200 Filter

Hi guys

I am thinking about purchasing the fluval venezia 190. If anyone has had one of these, would you mind answering a few questions please.

Is the fluval 205 filter noisy?

Will I need an air pump?

Has anyone had any trouble with having this external filter leaking?

Any more information you could give would be much appreciated. Would anyone recommend this tank at all? I have seen a tank for £350 online and lfs will match the price, is this a good price?

Hi Tan. I got the Fluval roma 240 about 2 months ago which came with the fluval 305. I got it for £289 which my LPS price matched have a look at seapets.com they seem to be cheapest. I have had no problems with the 305 at all.

I have got the Fluval 205 in one of my tanks, and its larger brother 305. There is nothing noisy about this filter, but when you first start it up, you will have to prime the filter by almost masturbating this lever up and down to get all the air out before water will flow through the filter. This can happen straight away or it could take up to half an hour. Once you get it working, an awesome filter. As for the air pump, I always have a well oxyginated tank because it adds to less stress for the fish, and a nice feature in the tank if nothing else.
