I currently have an old Fluval 2 (NOT Fluval 2 plus) and noticed that my local Pets@Home sell a Fluval Spray bar kit for connecting to their internal filters. Do you reckon this would fit the old Fluval?

FYI the old flow directo is rectangular shaped on the end that goes into the filter, but changes to round shape as it exits - oh and is removable.

I'd say possibly, I'm not sure on the difference between the square bit on the old 2 and the square bit on the 2+. But it's not difficult to find plastic tubing that fits the output of the 2, you can just use suckers to stick it to the side of the tank.

The spray bar kit comes with rubber tubing to connect the pump output to the bar, I'm pretty sure it'll stretch to fit.

urm, well its firstly not a heater - its a filter...

secondly, spray bars and be used to more evenly distribute water flow and can also be used to reduce current (through muliple outlets over a space as opposed to a single large one) should reduce dead zones and also helpful to adapt to spray over a sand substrate to help keep it clean :)
