Hi all i am new to fish keeping and i am thinking about getting a fluval flora to start a planted tank as i love the design and compact size, anyone had one or know any links to forums about this product ? i love the design of the fluval products, i am currently reading up about the cycling of tanks etc and i know some ppl will say get a bigger tank but this size is perfect at the moment for my living conditions lol any help would be appreciated thanks Dean

i would also buy a small heater to have tropical fish

I have the Ebi Shrimp version, and the tank and filter are brilliant. As you say, the design is very modern and with the rounded corners and lack of edges, you really do get a fabulous view of the fish. The heater is also well made and although quite large, it does give out a nice flow. I was looking at getting the flora when I bought mine, but I heard that the CO2 equipment was not that good. I therefore decided to get the other version (I found a second hand unused one for £40) and am now dosing with liquid CO2. I have a 50w heater in mine. I have also upgraded the light to an overtank 24w T5.

I have the Fluval Flora, is a great little tank. The co2 is a bit naff but does work. the light is very strong and my plants seem to thrive in there!

Go for it! :good: :good:
:santa:
